Prayer Requests
All prayer requests are shared with the congregation on each Sunday morning at Sunset Church. The request is added to a prayer list and is remembered each week until the issue is resolved. Prayer requests received via e-mail are forwarded to the e-mail list as

The Handwriting Guy
John Boesen, "The
Handwriting Guy" will be at Camp June 14, 15, 28, 29. He sent the following
information to better prepare us for his classes and services.
www.The
HandwritingGuy.com
What Handwriting
Analysis Reveals: Handwriting requires the use of fine motor body movement.
This body language reveals the personality of the writer at the time of the
writing including the thinking style, attitude about goals and ambition,
honesty, integrity, character and more. Proactively learn about: Abilities,
Aptitudes, Outer personality, Inner personality, Emotional stability. Does not
discriminate: Age, Gender, Nationality, Ethnicity, Race, Religion, Handicap
Automatic
Writing:
The process or
product of writing material that does not come from the conscious thoughts of
the writer. It is also known as psychography. Spiritualists have traditionally
been concerned with the source of the automatic communications.
Samples of
Automatic Writing:
Many famous teachers,
statesmen, authors, and political leaders have demonstrated this talent of
written communication. You are invited to bring samples of automatic writing
for brief analysis and discussion.
June 13-15,
2008:
Handwriting Analysis
basics will be discussed and individuals can schedule time to have their own
handwriting analyzed.
June 27-29,
2008:
We will discuss
Automatic Writing principles and will make time to analyze samples you bring
to camp to show the personality of the writer. Two hours is not enough time to
cover the subject in depth, so class time will not be used to teach Automatic
Writing beyond a simple introduction. Individuals can continue to schedule
time to have their own handwriting analyzed. Please do not bring handwriting
of others for the purpose of probing into the motives and reasons for their
behavior. If that person cannot be present, schedule time to meet later. Then
you can ask your questions with all parties present.

Keeping Up With the Board
– from President Karen Lyons
The Board
of Trustees sends a big thank you to Kevin Phillips. Our weekend of DNA
Activation with Kevin was wonderful. Kevin hinted that those of you who
wanted to come and weren't able to make it might get another opportunity
during Camp to investigate this topic. All you have to do is ask anyone who
was able to attend and you will want to know more. We were blessed to have
been involved with this workshop. Again, thank you, Kevin.
Sunday
May fourth, instead of class, we began the dedication of the new buildings at
10:00 A. M. The service included not only the dedication, clearing, and
blessing of the new buildings, but the grounds and all buildings. Rev.
Tuxhorn was to be in charge of the service, but at the last minute had to
cancel. More on that in a paragraph. I am amazed at the number of talented,
gifted folks who step up to serve when the need arises. Mary Stewart, Bunny
Czarnopys, Gayle Edmond, Aron Pohl, Debbie Grosser, and Linda Anderson did a
fine job. They were supported by Leo Whitley, Eugene Whiltey, LeRoy Windhorst,
Laura Coffee, Becky Blaha, Ron Glasgow, and Lola Richert. The service was
beautiful.
I am happy
to report that Javene Whitley is improving and on Sunday was able to attend
the Board meeting. Maxine Windhorst is still recuperating at home, getting a
little better day by day. Now about Evadne. Rev. Tuxhorn noticed there was
something not quite right with her leg. At the hospital she learned she had
cellulitous (something like that), was sent home with orders to sit with her
foot elevated for a week. That is why Evadne couldn't join us on Sunday.
Evadne was not too happy to be told she had to sit for a week. I'm anxious to
see her Wednesday evening for Development Class, but I'm sure she isn't
misbehaving this close to Camp.
This close
to Camp! Can you believe it? Saturday, May 10, and 17 will be work days on
the Church and Camp grounds. There is still quite a bit to do before Camp.
If you can, come and give us a hand. We'll try to have a little fun while
we're there. A lot has been done in anticipation of your arrival, but there
is always more painting and cleaning to be done. The Board has been assured
that the final phase of the electrical update will be completed as well.
(This project got set back by the ice storm)
There is
an old hymn that begins, "All things are ready. Come to the feast. Leave all
your cares behind." I'll see you at Camp!
